Although oranges and orange juice are low in calories and rich in vitamin C, they are also high in potassium. One medium orange provides 240 mg of potassium and one cup of orange juice can contain about 470 mg of potassium.

Therefore, the consumption of oranges and orange juice should be taken with care, especially when you have kidney problems to avoid dangerous excess potassium in the blood.
