Very good food, but eating every day is harmful to the kidneys.

Oranges, butter, milk … are foods that will harm the kidneys if you eat too much.

1. Avocado.

Although avocados are popular and loved for their nutritional richness, eating too much of this fruit can be dangerous for your kidneys, especially if you already have kidney disease. The reason is because avocados are very high in potassium.

Our bodies need a lot of potassium, but too much of it in the blood can cause serious problems like muscle cramps and irregular heartbeat.

2. Meat.

Eating too much meat can cause kidney problems because animal protein can be very difficult to metabolize, making the elimination of waste products a burden on the kidneys. Meat that is high in purines stimulates the production of uric acid, which is one of the common causes of kidney stones.

Instead, you can eat more vegetables and nuts to get enough for your body.

3. Salt.

A healthy diet should include up to 2,300 mg of sodium per day (about a teaspoon of salt). If you eat too much salt, the kidneys have to work harder to get rid of the excess sodium, so the body begins to retain water which can lead to high blood pressure.

To keep your kidneys healthy, you can add spices and herbs to your food instead of overdoing it with salt. You can also reduce your consumption of processed and packaged foods, which are often high in salt.

4. Banana.

If you suspect you have kidney problems but you yourself have a reasonable diet, you should pay attention to foods that you consume a lot like bananas . kidney failure or kidney disease.

A healthy adult should get 3,500-4,700 mg of potassium per day from food, and one medium banana (150g) already contains 537 mg. But if you have kidney disease, your potassium intake should be reduced to make sure your kidneys don’t have to work too hard.

5. Milk.

Although dairy products are rich in vitamins and nutrients, consuming too much milk, yogurt, and cheese can be harmful. This is because the high amount of phosphorus found in these foods can overload the kidneys.

Furthermore, if the kidneys are not working properly, it is difficult to remove all phosphorus from the blood and this can lead to osteoporosis over time.

6. Bread made from wheat.

Whole-wheat bread is healthy and nutritious, but eaten in large quantities, and especially by people with kidney problems, can do more harm. This is due to the high amount of phosphorus and potassium present in this bread. One slice of whole grain bread contains 70 mg of potassium and 57 mg of phosphorus, compared with a slice of white bread with only 25 mg of potassium per slice.

7. Oranges and orange juice.

Although oranges and orange juice are low in calories and rich in vitamin C, they are also high in potassium. One medium orange provides 240 mg of potassium and one cup of orange juice can contain about 470 mg of potassium.

Therefore, the consumption of oranges and orange juice should be taken with care, especially when you have kidney problems to avoid dangerous excess potassium in the blood.
